Rising Desks
Not to be the concerning one, but stress is filling the air on earth right now. Six out of then people have stress a few times a week. As it seems to me, that isn't surprising at all. Work, school, the social media. The people that live in the 21st century have a lot to deal with and to keep up with. The boiling point in the brain will come more and more often. How do we make this stressful world less tense?
Less stress
No stress, they thought in Haarlem, The Netherlands. In this city in my homecountry they designed innovative desks. The wanted a sollution for the overwork under employees. To be clear, they wanted to reduce the workload. But in a creative way.
18.00, hoist the desks please!
The desks are connected to four hoists. They will be elevated to the ceiling if the clock hits 18.00. They have been introduced just since two weeks. This forces staff members to stop working and get the working table empty before 6AM. Otherwise their stuff will also gain height. Staffmembers expand their free time and surpress their stress level. In this stressed out world this is very pleasant, it improves our mental level!
Innovation on the office
Offices like this, you will see them more in the near future. It is a trend. Employees don’t want a static workenvironment anymore. They want transparancy on the workflour. Workers want connection with their colleagues. Offices with just four walls are outdated.
Work socializing
And there is a funny part also. Because the new released space where the bureaus stand before 6AM , the room can be used for fun and also social activities, such as yoga or an informal member meeting. The innovative workfloor leaves a lot of opportunity.
If we meet the workflour in a few years, we will arrive in a innovative climate. A creative athmosfeer and social contacts will be more important for us. The companies will change their offices because of this. How weird can we image the future workplace?
